Flash mob against propaganda of Belarusian state-run TV in Minsk (Photo)

Young activists of the Belarusian Popular Front party organised a flash mob on Kamarouski Market of Minsk.

The activists explained that their action was aimed at attracting attention to distribution of false information by state-run media, Radio Svaboda reports.

The activists were handing around packs of quick-cooking noodle with text on each pack reading BT (Belarusian state-controlled TV channel) is unreliable source of information.

“Don’t allow to fool you! Watch Belsat!” the notice called (in Belarusian, expression hang noodle on one’s ears means to fool someone).

Passers-by enjoyed the action and were taking packages, when they learnt it was not promo but political action.

Many riot militiamen in civvies were noticed on the market. A paddy wagon stood in Vera Kharuzhaya Street near the market. Nut no people were detained.
