Comrade Hugo is now “brother” for Lukashenka 13

Alyaksandr Lukashenka says he is ready to “brotherly” develop cooperation with Venezuela in various sector.

“We are pragmatic, of course, and our actions are based on economy. But you should know, you have the most reliable friends in Belarus, besides the economy,” A. Lukashenka said during a meeting with Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez, who is paying a working visit to Minsk.

“We are ready to solve any question for Venezuela like friends, like brothers. Say, what we need to do and we’ll do it,” A. Lukashenka noted.

The head of the Belarusian state also said, ”With all my heart I am thankful to you for you having found time to visit your friend in spite of your heavy schedule, tiredness of flights, meetings, struggle for your independence, country.”

In his turn H. Chávez said: “It would be unthinkable not to visit Minsk on the way at least for some hours to confirm our bet feeling of friendship to this heroic people, to you, our friends.” The Venezuelan President also thinks it is necessary “to use an opportunity to check how previous agreements are fulfilled, to check how the projects are carried out.”

H. Chávez presented regards to A. Lukashenka from Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, he recently had a meeting with. “President Medvedev sends his best regards to you. We have a very nice meeting yesterday,” H. Chávez told.
