Colonel Baradach: Zakharanka was tortured several days before killing

Uladzimir Baradach, a former commander of special task brigade, asked for political asylum in Germany.

“My friends told me my apartment had been force opened and there had been left some things that could be a ground for criminal prosecution and conviction of me. All the time I was in Europe I was thinking about whether I should return home or not. Leaving my fellow nationals under the present circumstances is like leaving the site of battle,” Uladzimir Baradach told Deutsche Welle.

“Ahead of the election, I was an active member of the Public Commission dealing with investigation of the disappearance of former interior minister Yury Zakharanka. I was an assistant of Zakharanka in the Union of Army Officers,” Baradach says.

“There’s one thing I’d like not to speak about now. I’ll tell this information later. The matter is that I talked with the man who was killed this year. Nobody knows about this, I cannot tell his name so far. As we suppose, he was a witness of the last minutes of Yury Zakharanka’s life.

According to our information, Zakharanka faced unbelievable, humiliating questioning that lasted for several days. Then he was forced to use psychoactive chemical agents were used against him. This was video recorded for a report.

They wanted to make Yury Zakharanka admit he had prepared an anti-constitutional coup. They wanted him to tell them the names of the leaders and active members of the Union of Officers. Finally, he was accused of preparing a coup and executed by shooting.”

Baradach promised to upload his video statement regarding this to YouTube.
