A correspondent of the Polish “Gazeta Wyborcza” and an activist of the Union of Poles in Belarus Andrzej Poczobut received today the denial of accreditation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.
The formal reason for the refusal of the permission to work on the territory of Belarus was the fact that in 2009, after Andrzej Poczobut was denied of accreditation, he continued to write in “Gazeta Wyborcza”.
“Today the Belarusian authorities want to make a good picture before the West. But since I live and work in Belarus, it is much harder to convince me of their so-called “liberalization” than a journalist who arrives in the country for a few days. But I am sure that it may lead to nothing and no one can be deceived,”- Andrzej Poczobut said to charter97.org.
