Shortly before his death, Pr. Nikitchatchanka made his proposals to presidential candidate Andrei Sannikov’s programme.
“It’s shocking news. It’s a tragedy. I’d like to express my condolences to his family. Ivan Nikitchanka is an enthusiast; he was among the best agricultural specialists in Belarus. He was an Associate Member of the Academy of Science. He is also known for his deep interest in the Chernobyl issue. He made his proposals relating to the Chernobyl theme to my programme. We worked together in Henadz Karpenka’s shadow government. I know his as a real hard-working person, who took the events in Belarus to heart. He worried about the fact that the regime had closed eyes to the problem of Chernobyl disaster, though people still suffer from the disaster consequences. Let’s pay tribute to his memory. I m sure that many Belarusian take the death of Ivan Nikitchanka as their personal pain,” Andrei Sannikov said.
