Lukashenka worries about US troops in Iraq

The Belarusian ruler said foreign troops should be pulled out of Iraq.

“Belarus has consistently advocated the speediest withdrawal of foreign troops from Iraq, preserving unity and territorial integrity of this oldest state,” the Belarusian head of state noted receiving letters of credence from Ambassador of Iraq to Belarus Haidar Mansur Hadi Alathar, Interfax reports.

Lukashenka said Belarus was ready to take active part in the restoration of the infrastructure, construction of residential housing and industrial facilities in Iraq. “I think it’s time to resume and intensify our trade and economic relations,” he said assuring that “our equipment and other Belarusian goods will find demand in your country.”
