“Today morning we have learnt from an official communication received by us that Andrzej Poczobut was arrested. Despite of that, we decided to stay at the meeting of the delegation. Firstly, to adopt a statement condemning the Belarusian authorities for their actions against Andrzej Poczobut, and at the same time, all the developments in Belarus. Once again we have expressed a demand to Alyaksandr Lukashenka and his people ruling Belarus to stop repressions against independent mass media, democratic opposition and civil society.

Jacek Protasiewicz has informed that in case Andrzej Poczobut would not be released from the prison, the demands to release him would be included in the next resolution of the European Parliament.
