KGB deleted Belarusian biggest group in Vkontakte.ru

Cyber-terrorists from Belarusian secret services have suspended a group on a social network site. The group administrator might have been arrested.

Some days ago, charter97.org received a letter from Syarhei Paulyukevich, administrator of a group “We stand for great Belarus” uniting over 123,000 people.

Syarhei said that a KGB officer visited his mother at work in June 2, 2011, and offered her to convince her son to stop his activity on the Internet, otherwise they would take him hostage and charge with violating article 342 of the Criminal Code (organizing and preparing the actions that violate public order).

Syarhei also posted an event “Millions march” that gathered over 40,000 people.

Both pages remain unavailable since yesterday, Syarhei has disappeared. According to unconfirmed information, KGB officers burst into Syarhei Paulyujevich’s falt yesterday and used his computer to delete all information on the social network.

We remind that Syarhei Paulyukevich took part in a peaceful demonstration on December 19, 2011. He was detained and arrested for 10 days. Belarusian KGB tried to recruit him in a detention facility. After his refusal to cooperate, his house was searched on January 4, 2011, and a computer was seized. On March 25, ahead of the rally on Freedom Day, Syarhei was arrested again and freed only at 9:00 in the evening.
