Today morning dwellers of the houses in Russiyanov Street in Minsk gathered near their houses against to hinder work of builders.
The spontaneous rally lasted for a few hours. But a compromise has not been found, onliner.by informs.
Workers planned to fence a site for future construction. Several cars were parked in the green zone.
- What are you going to do with them, - people asked.
- We’ll call in, - the answer was.
The director of the capital construction management of Pershamajski district arrived. He showed documents to citizens and tried to convince them: the construction is legal. But once again his arguments did not work.
- Finally, a paddy wagon arrived to the scene, and we were asked to disband. In case we would not obey, we were threatened by 15 days’ arrest. After that builders started their work, - told representatives of an initiative group. – Today evening we are going to gather once again and decide what to do next.
We remind that the conflict between the dwellers of Uruchcha mini-district and the administration of Pershamajski district lasts since 2005. It is planned to build a 19-storey building for riot policemen in the yard which already has little space. One more building is planned to be build instead of a playground. The density of population per square kilometer exceeds the permitted norms in the mini-district already.
