Russia bans Belavia company to perform flights to all Russian regions except for Moscow from April 13.

“We have just received notification about the suspension of flights to all destinations, except for Moscow, starting from [April] 13th,” Belavia Deputy General Director Igor Cherginets told RIA Novosti.

Besides flights to Moscow, Belavia company performs flights to St Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Yekaterinburg and Sochi. It planned to launch a flight to Novosibirsk on June 3.

“Air communication with Russian regions has been suspended. We are going to find ways out of the situation and return money,” a company representative said.

The Ministry of Transportation of Russia said earlier Belarus had informed the Russian aviation authorities it indented to cut flights from Moscow to Minsk performed by Russian air carriers beginning starting from April 13.
