The government wants to have investors and still have enterprises’’ controlling block of shares.
The Belarusian leader has once again specified the conditions under which private investors can invest money in manufacturing units, including state-run enterprises, and to achieve a possibility to buy the controlling interest in course of time, AFN writes.
“If you are a serious investor, come and work, but do not demand a controlling interest at once,” A. Lukashenka said in Asipovichy.
At the same time, he complaints that private business does not want to invest money in manufacturing.
“It’s a great problem no new businessmen who would create manufacturing, are emerging in our country,” Lukashenka said.
In general, the guiding principle of the Belarusian authorities for many years is still relevant: to have investors and still keep the controlling interest, that is, to eat the cake and have it.
