Young democrats from the United Civil Party carried out a performance at Kamarouski Market in the centre of Minsk.
They decided to remind Belarusians about 500-dollar salary that Alyaksandr Lukashenka promised.
Young activists were handing out sheets of papers imitating 500-euro banknoteы by this showing such salaries will be possible only if the country chooses a democratic way. Every banknote had text 'not for pay' to avoid problems with the law, “Salidarnast” reports.
The activists raised a poster “Where's our $500 salary?” They were handing out information materials and offered to write a letter to Lukashenka Administration asking about the promised pay.
The performance lasted less than five minutes. The chief security of the market came to the activists, took away the poster and ordered to leave the territory of the market. A police patrol did not detain participants of the action, but checked documents of journalists.
The activists moved to Impuls shopping centre at Yakub Kolas Square and continued the performance.
