Lukashenka offered Belarusian enterprises to Nazarbayev

Lukashenka invites Kazakh capital to participate in the processes of privatization of Belarusian enterprises.
“We expect that the new conditions would considerably intensify investment cooperation. We hope that Kazakh capital will take part in privatization processes in our country,” Alyaksandr Lukashenka stated on Monday in Minsk, during the talks with Kazakh president Nursultan Nazarbayev in extended format, Interfax reports.
Later, summing up the results of the talks, Lukashenka stressed that the Belarusian side had invited the Kazakh capital to participate in investment processes in Belarus. “We are ready to invite Kazakh business, which would be ready to participate in privatisation of our enterprises,” he said.
In his turn, Nazarbayev said on that matter that “we are set to consider this proposal seriously, and in the future to take part in privatization of Belarusian businesses which are of interest for us.”
The leader of Kazakhstan stressed that “Belarus is one of the serious ad important political and economic partners of Kazakhstan.”
Besides, the leaders of Belarus and Kazakhstan decided jointly oppose “the attempts to use the human rights issues as a mechanism of political pressure.”
“The sides are to render mutual support in human rights issues at international platforms, to jointly oppose the attempts to use human rights issues as a political pressure leverage,” BelTA quotes the text of the statement.
Belarus and Kazakhstan are also ready to continue close coordination of actions at the OSCE “with the aim of further promotion of mutual priorities and initiatives, aimed at correcting the existing misbalances and raising efficiency of work of this organisation.”
“Special priority is to be given to the issues of international legal formalization of the OSCE and adopting the statutory document of the organisation, guaranteeing transparency in the work of its institutions and field presence, as well as streamlining elections observation in the framework of the OSCE,” the document reads.
The leader of Kazakhstan stays on a visit in Belarus on May 12-14.
