Lyubou Kavalyova planned to take to court creators of the film called Metro, however the head of the Belarusian TV and Radio Company Henadz Davydzka hasn’t told their names.
In the official answer received by Kavalyova, it is written that the Belarusian TV and Radio Company is the owner of rights for the film, and is not obliged to give other information to anyone, Radio Svaboda informs.
In the conclusion of the letter addressed to Lyoubou Kavalyova, the head of the Belarusian TV and Radio Company has written that in case of disagreement to his answer it could be challenged in a higher state organ (the administration of the president of Belarus).
The answer with a proposal to address the presidential administration, to which the TV company is subject to, according to Davydzka, did not satisfy Lyubou Kavalyova:
“They have not told the names of the film crew. I have not decided whether I will go to the administration, but we are going to take some measures. There is an attempt to persuade viewers of Metro that my son is guilty, and I do not believe in his guilt, and many people in Belarus to not trust investigation and the court. Dzmitry Kanavalau had been many times announced a number one terrorist by state-run mass media, and by this film they are trying to finally convince the public opinion that Uladzislau was guilty. They use spin, manipulation and distort objective information.”
The answer from the Belarusian state TV and radio company has been received y Lyubou Kavalyova only, though she addressed them together with an oppositionist Barys Khamajda.
Together they had analysed the film Metro, uploaded at several websites. The analysis of the film was also sent to Davydzka, however in his letter the head of the Belarusian state TV and radio company does not added any response to the critical comments.
