Brest police disperse international anarchists congress

Police detained 11 participants of an international anarchists forum.

Anarchists organized an international congress in Brest. Over 150 people from Russia, Ukraine, Poland and Belarus gathered  at “Krasny Dvor” recreation centre on the outskirts of Brest.

Forum participants were discussing joint events and coordination of actions. Lots of participants said they support the anarchists imprisoned in Belarus on political motives.

According to the press service of the Brest police, “activists of the movement were discussing plans of coordinated actions of extremist character aimed at violating public order and safety, the established order of exercising state power and management.”

The authorities did not like talks about international cooperation with the plans to visit anarchist rallies in neighbouring countries.

The forum was interrupted by police. Eleven activists were detained. They underwent identity checks, were photographed and recorded on video. They are officially reported to be detained for disorderly conduct  and accused of swearing at police officers.
