Aleh Vouchak: Confinement conditions in detention centre are still horrifying

Human rights activist Aleh Vouchak was freed on June 2 after nine days in custody.
Relatives and friends were waiting for him outside the detention centre in Akrestin Street, Narodnaya Volya newspaper informs.
“Confinement conditions are horrifying “ Aleh Vouchak said. “Almost nothing changed for six months. It's wet, cold, dirty. Food is bad, especially bread. I filed applications every day to allow me a walk and a visit to a sauna. I was taken for a walk only two times during nine days. And I was allowed to take a shower two times.”
Aleh Vouchak was accused of disorderly conduct (swearing) and sentenced to nine days in custody. The judgement was made by judge of the Tsentralny district court Tatsyana Tkachova on the basis of the evidence given by riot policemen.
