Jerzy Buzek: Lukashenka grossly violates fundamental rights

The former president of the European Parliament is confident the situation in Ukraine cannot be compared with that in Belarus.
“I am absolutely sure the situation in Belarus differs from that in Ukraine. Belarus is the only European country, which is not a member of the European Council. This is an important factor. The regime of Alyaksandr Lukashenka constantly violates fundamental human rights, sometimes committing gross violations,” Jerzy Buzek said in an interview to Kommersant talking about the deterioration in the human rights situation in Ukraine.
