Dzmitry Kudronak, who headed the workers protests on Pinskdrev plant, has been sacked.
On August 9, Dzmitry Kudronak had his last day of work on the veneer and furniture plant belonging to Pinskdrev holding. The worker received his employment record book with a record “sacked for repeated failures to fulfill his employment duties without good excuse”, Radio Svaboda reports.
Dzmitry Kudronak is confident workers will continue to protest.
“This process cannot be stopped. They fired me, but they will not calm down workers. We are creating an organization that will appear at the right time. It will be a surprise for Pinskdrev executives,” he said.
Protests on Pinsdrev began after workers received low in their opinion wages on July 17. Many of them applied for leaving the official trade union.
Workers formed a council with its head Dzmitry Kudronak.
