Slogans “Long live Belarus” in prison on Statkevich's birthday

A former presidential candidate and political prisoner knows about congratulations to him and heard the fireworks.

“Mikalai knows about the congratulation, he heard the fireworks and asked to thank all  people who congratulated him even if their letters were not delivered,” Maryna Adamovich, politician's wife, wrote on her Facebook account.

“By the way, inmates were shouting 'Hurrah!', 'Happy birthday!' and “Long live Belarus!' as fireworks were set off. I know this from witnesses. I am very happy and sincerely grateful,” the woman wrote.
