The former member "of the house of representatives" has broken the silence.
On the eve of the “parliamentary elections”, the former member of the Supreme Council and the "house of representatives" Volha Abramava told "Radio Svaboda" on how the results of "elections" in her Minsk district ¹ 108 on the previous "elections" in 2008 were falsified. The MP revealed details of events, which were kept secret for 4 years.
Devaluation of the institution of elections
Abramava fixes the loss of interest both the public and the authorities to "elections", and also the decline in the quality of candidates:
"There was a complete devaluation of the institution and the institution of parliamentary elections. This is a diagnosis."
In such circumstances, Abramava considers it logical to cancel the institute of elections or at least to reduce the number of "deputies".
Volha Abramava says about an extremely low interest of the citizens to the current "elections" and predicts that on September 23 the whole turnout will be at the level of 50 percent, but there will be counties where the turnout will not exceed 40 percent. The rest will be attributed.
In 2008, Abramava was under pressure from Piatkevich and Pavlau
Technologies and mechanisms of falsification of the "elections" are well developed, says Volha Abramava: if in 2000 large ballot stuffing took place, now it's not necessary, especially after the decision to store ballots not for 4 years, but only for six months has been approved. It was lobbied by regional leaders, who still afraid of hypothetical responsibility.
Volha Abramava said that she has felt the mechanisms of falsification on her own experience during the "elections" of 2008:
"In June, I was invited to the Administration by Natallia Piatkevich. Conversation immediately went in the following way: "Volha, what do you want as a compensation for the fact that you no longer will be a deputy?" My jaw just hang down, I said, "How?" And then I came to myself and asked, "And how do you see it?"
Then Volha Abramava said to Piatkevich that her relationships with the voters in the district are such that no one, except Lukashenka (but not necessarily) can defeat her in a fair fight. But Piatkevich was insisting, and then Abramava called two positions for which she, apriory, cannot be assigned to.
There were several such "dull" deputies in Minsk, and they were invited to the head of the Minsk City Executive Committee Mikhail Pavlau:
"He have said a sacramental phrase:" There should be a rotation. Those who were "MPs" for two or three times, will not be "deputies" anymore." And he said this in the presence of a large number of officials. "
Olga Abramova argued with Pavlau, and did not refuse to participate in "elections". But soon she felt that the pressure began. The collector of signatures was convinced "not to lose time", as Abramava will not become a "deputy", and the two labor group, which have got much help from the "deputy" in recent time, refused to nominate her.
Abramava, as acting "deputy" and the candidate, was unable to meet with the staff five establishments in hers district.
An observer with different protocols of "elections"
After the announcement of the official results of the "election", whereby Abramava got 24 percent of the votes, and her little-known opponent, Mikalai Kazak - 60, an international observer came to Abramava:
"He said: "Let's decide what we will do. I have direct evidence of falsifications; we can "blow up" the whole situation." He brought me a copy of the two protocols - one that observers were given after the "elections" in the main voting day, and one that he was able to wrest from the chairman of the district commission for the next day, who had been sent to the CEC. These were two different protocols. "
At that moment Volha Abramava decided to remain silent. After that the observer gave those documents to Lydia Yarmoshina.
