A member of the NGO "Belarusian Association of Journalists" Nikita Brouka said that he was filming a street survey for the website "Novy Chas"; after that he sat on a bench, holding a camera and a microphone in his lap. At that moment he was approached by an unknown person in plain clothes who identified himself as a security officer, reports the press service of the BAJ.
"He was aggressive – refused to show any documents, started to ask what are we doing here, demanded our ID, - said Nikita Brouka. – After seeing the name of "Novy Chas", he said that such a newspaper does not exists and has torn the ID card apart. After that he left."
The Journalist will consult with lawyers and the editor for possible actions to protect his rights.
