An elderly man found his wife, who died seven years ago, in the list of voters.
He said this in a video interview to an observer from the United Civil Party. The incident happened at the 11th polling station of the 3rd constituency in Brest.
Besides dead people in the list of voters, the polling station was noted in relation to a large number of people voting at home. As charter97.org learned from observers, there were 16 applications for voting at home, but the ballot box for home voting contained 100 ballots. Commission members found it not enough and another ballot box was sent to the station.
“Commission members received sheets of paper with the figures they should put in voter turnout reports. They are busy with this work right now, but I cannot film it,” an observer said.
The deputy head of the district election commission, Alla Volkava (the deputy principal responsible for education and ideology at Pushkin Lyceum No. 1 in Brest), was the most zealous in organizing falsifications.
