The mother of Vitaly Koush was told her son was in a detention facility in Brest, but she didn't find him there.
This information was received from Vitaly's wife Zhanna Koush. She says an officer on duty at the Brest district police department told Vitaly Koush's mother her son was in a detention facility in Brest. When his parents and wife arrived there, a duty officer of the detention facility said Vitaly was not on the list of inmates, Euroradio reports.
Relatives of Vitaly Koush filed a complaint at the actions of police officers to the police department of the Brest region executive commission. They are still trying to learn who had detained the activist and where he had been taken.
We remind Vitaly Koush was detained by five men in sport suits in a village near Brest on Saturday. They attacked the activist, knocked him down on the ground and kicked. It was done before the eyes of his wife and little son. Zhanna Koush says the men didn't introduce themselves, pulled her husband into a white Zhiguli car and drove away.
