Mozyr refinery and Horizont offered for sale

State Committee for Property announced the sale of the country’s largest enterprises.

The list is published on the web-site of the institution.

The shares of over 80 enterprises, belonging to the state, and several other enterprises of shared property are to be sold by auction and competition. The statement emphasizes that the decision was made by Lukashenka.

In the list of the joint-stock companies there are enterprises included in the following business concerns Belneftekhim, Bellesbumprom, Belgospishcheprom, Ministry of Construction and Architecture, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Agriculture and Provision, Ministry of Energy. The state is ready to sell its whole holding of shares of practically all of these enterprises.

For the auction sale the shares of the following enterprises are offered: Homiel Instrument Plant (99.86% shares), Mahiloudreu (96.44%), Rechycadreu (99.6%), Glass Works Jelizava (35%), Viciebsk Instrument Engineering Plant (60.9%), Brest Radio Equipment Plant (86.16%), Ivacevichdreu (42.22%), Viciebsk fruit and vegetable processing plant (99.96%).

The shares of 33 enterprises are for sale by competition, including Mozyr refinery (42.37%), Horizont holding management company (99.88%), Transaviaexport airline (99.89%), BATE public corporation – the management company of the Autakampanienty holding (25%), Minsk Heating Facilities Plant (25.83%).

“A person, interesting in purchasing the shares of joint-stock companies, belonging to the Republic of Belarus, and enterprises of shared property, should apply to the State Committee for Property. Applications from potential investors (buyers) stating their interest in purchasing the shares of joint-stock companies, belonging to the Republic of Belarus, and enterprises of shared property should be sent to the State Committee for Property by mail”, - the statement says.

The application will be considered by a commission, which in the end will prepare suggestions on the advisability of preparing the drafts of Lukashenka’s respective decrees.

The head of Belarus’ State Committee for Property Ryhor Kuzniacou recently spoke of a great sale. He claimed that the proposals were being developed on selling 90 medium enterprises of state property of the total amount of 600 million United States dollars.
