Inspection stations work without days off

57

Car owners storm inspection stations a few days before the new car tax comes into force.

Conflicts between drivers arise: those, who came at 5 or 6 a.m., don't allow drivers, who have appointments, to jump the queue. Beltechosmotr, the vehicle inspection company, says the inspection stations were instructed to smooth conflicts, find compromises and control queues. Many stations will work tomorrow, onliner.by reports.

“Employees of inspections stations are supposed to have a day off tomorrow,” representatives of Beltechosmotr say. “But many stations decided to work on Tuesday till 15:00 taking into account the current situation. Not all of them will work. They won't be able to inspect all vehicles in the queue.”

Drivers understand it and sometimes behave in an emotional way. Police were called to an inspection station last week after a brawl between car drivers in the queue.

Long queue to vehicle inspection stations appeared after the news that the car duty will be imposed in 2014. Car owners will have to pay it during vehicle inspection.
