Lukashenka's spokesman: One must quit in time

Pavel Lyohki has left his post as head of Lukashenka's press service.

He will soon start his new job as minister-counsellor in the Embassy of Belarus in Russia, he told Radio Svaboda.

“I have worked for ten years at the post. Of course, I regret that I quit. All in good time. It's time for new knowledge and new experience. One should quit in time. It's my rule, but don't advise others to follow it. Everything should be done in time. I think I need to move further,” Lyohki said.

He noted he regretted to leave his previous job and called it unique:

“The scope of my new work (I know it well) has much in common with the duties I performed in the presidential administration.”

No new head of presidential press service has been appointed yet, Lyohki said.
