Mahiliou activists of Metalworkers’ Free Trade Union harassed by KGB.

It is reported by the local union leader Halina Lisitsyna. On 21 May, she was visited by KGB agents, but she refused to talk without a subpoena.

A couple of days earlier, Halina Lisitsyna had to talk to security service employees for about two hours. The questions concerned the activities of the trade union activists, travels to other places, as well as the future successor of Halina Lisitsyna to the post of the union coordinator in Mahiliou.

The woman said that she had the impression that the KGB knew more about her than she did. Through their activity, she had troubles in her family.

In addition, Halina Lisitsyna said that the KGB visited another trade union activist, whose name she did not want to disclose.
