Hruzdzilovich warned for book “Who bombed Minsk metro?”

A journalist of Radio Svaboda was officially warned.

The warning concerns the article and book “Who bombed Minsk metro?”.

In the warning signed by the first Minsk prosecutor’s deputy Ramanouski says that the journalist “carried out an act of penetration to Frunzenskaja metro station with metal subjects in a bag, which looked similar to the bag of the organizers of a terroristic act in Minsk metro”, - Radio Svaboda reports.

On 10 April Aleh Hruzdzilovich prepared an article on how the metro security works. The prosecutor’s office notes that the journalist posted a critical article on the radio’s web-site under the name “To metro with a big bag: one time inspected out of two and the bag never checked”.

The warning also says that a presentation of the book “Who bombed Minsk metro?” by Aleh Hruzdzilovich took place. According to the warning, the book “doubts the objective character of the results of the official investigation of the criminal case on the metro bombing incident, and also the just character of the Belarusian judiciary in general”.

The pressure on independent media has increased lately. The web-sites of Belarusian Partisan and the human rights center Viasna were hacked on 25 April, three days before that there had been an attack on the charter97.org web-site. By the means of a DDoS-attack the malefactors managed to blog the work of the web-site for an hour. Yesterday a blogger Dzmitry Halko was sentenced to 10 days in prison, a journalist of Radio Racyja Aliaksandr Jarashevich was sentenced to a 12-day administrative arrest.
