Pavel Vinahradau detained for “conversation”

The conversation with policemen is to last until 3 p.m.

An opposition activist Paval Vinahradau went to the district police office of Maskouski district of Minsk to be registered, as he is under preventive police supervision. But he didn’t left the police department, his phone was switched off.

Pavel was accompanied to the building of the police department in Hrusheuskaya Street, 9 by his wife Svyatlana and two friends, Radio Svaboda informs.

At 9:45 Paval entered the building. In 15 minutes he told over the phone to his wife that there was no inspector in the office, others were looking for a document where he was to leave signature. In 10 minutes Pavel was no longer available on the phone.

Svyatlana was not allowed to enter the building of the police department of Maskouski district by a police officer on duty. The officer said that a conversation was being held with Pavel, and it is to last until 3 p.m.

His wife Svyatlana believes that it is another arrest, and she is always answered in this way, as if preventive conversation is held with her husband, and later he is imprisoned for several days.

Over the last 2 years Pavel has spent more than 200 days in the detention centre in Akrestsin Street in Minsk.

The day before Vinahradau was released after a 15-days arrest.

“Today I was given a document I was to sign, according to it the rules of my being registered in the police department have been changed. Earlier I was to come there on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and now I can only do that on Friday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. I do not know why it is so. They probably want to incarcerate me again. So tomorrow I am going to visit them to register, but I will take my things with me,” he said to journalists.
