The market administration cut power for all market sellers to punish ZAO Rostem firm.
Charter97.org learnt from a reader.
“I work at the construction material market [in Minsk's Uruchcha district]. ZAO Rostem firm has not been paying electricity bills since March. Its total debt was more than one billion rubles. It was the same last year. Power was cut for all market sellers. All sellers pay for electricity regularly, though its costs are higher than in residential buildings. We pay the real cost of electricity.
Both sellers and customers suffer from cuts. It became a problem to buy, for example, a lamp or LED bulbs, let alone heat your pavilion in cold weather. I have the impression that they just spit in our face. And this is the oldest and biggest building material market in Belarus!” he writes.
