Have builders died at “Mayak Minska’s” construction site?

According to a source, two workers have fallen down in a building cradle from a height of the 7th floor.

“On October 3 at about 2 p.m. a building cradle with two construction workers fell down from the 7th floor. Their approximate age was 25 and 40 years, there is no information about their state. All construction workers were told to go home, and for the rest of the day the construction site was stopped,” the source told to charter97.org.

The spokesperson of the Belarusian Ministry of Civil Defence and Emergency Response Vitaly Navitski informed that they do not have information about the accident.

We remind that the construction site of “Mayak Minska” (The Lighthouse of Minsk) is carried out at the territory near the National Library, which size is 55 ha and the total volume of construction of more than 1 million square metres. The complex of Mayak Minska is to include more than 30 residential houses, a shopping centre, a school multifunctional complex and a sports centre. The project is to be implemented before 2017. The project is realized by Dana Holdings group of companies, which has been working in Belarus for 7 years.
