Schulz: Changing borders in Europe by force is unacceptable

Changing state borders in Europe by force is absolutely unacceptable.

It was said by President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin War, Deutsche Welle reports.

Speaking about the Ukrainian conflict, Schulz expressed his concern that state borders were again forcibly changed in Europe. He said he found such actions unacceptable.

He expressed an opinion that the Ukrainian crisis should be solved only by political means.

“Russia is a key force and a permanent member of the UN Security Council, whether you likes it or not. It would be right to demonstrate our commitment to the territorial integrity of Ukraine, but keep communication channels with Russia open,” he added.
