Yury Belenki fined $280 for Dziady rally

A deputy head of the Conservative Christian Party BPF was fined 20 penalty units (3 million rubles).

The decision was taken by judge of Minsk's Pershamaiski district court Anastasia Papko on November 17, Viasna human rights centre reports.

Yury Belenki was found guilty of violating the law on mass events (part 2 of article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences).

The politician was accused of failure to provide protection and medical care during the Dziady rally on November 2.
