The citizens of Minsk to Tozik: leave our children in peace!

Belarusians sign a petition for free nursery schools.

A new online-petition is calling Vice Prime Minister Anatol Tozik for preserving free nursery schools. One of the readers, Siarhei, informed charter97.org.

“I have a little child so I’ve signed the petition. I hope that the authorities will not make us overpay for nursery schools as we won’t be able to pay for food. In case we pay 1, 5 million of rubles we will run out of family finances…”, he writes.

Other parents and not indifferent people are among those disappointed

“You should not close off the loopholes by means of overpay as the budget is provided for the citizens. Parents pay for nursery schools by means of taxes. In other cases it means repeated taxation”, writes Tatstsiana Luchko from Minsk.

“So what if I’m not able to pay the total cost? What if I have a few children? Will I have to stay at home and do not work? So, now I’m considered as a “do-little”! And I have to pay tax again as I’m sitting at home. That is the life of horror provided by our bureaucrats!”, writes Sniazhana Ivanova from Minsk.

“My daughter will be 6 years old on August 31, 2015 but she is not ready to go to school. I guess that is a sort of humiliation to send unprepared children to school. And what should be done in case of a persistent cold?”, writes Natallia Filimoneneka from Minsk

“I’m the father of two children and I don’t want Tozik and authorities live in clover by means of our children”, writes Maksim Sapeshka from Vitsebsk.

“I’m passed over the way of budget replenishment. The authorities have no other way of rapid budget replenishment but to drain the citizens’ purses. The authorities do not want to work but continue living off the taxpaying public and doing nothing useful”, writes Siarhei Kaspiarovich from Minsk.

“The salary rate is so low that in case of price increase the authorities subject a lot of families, especially with little children, to bare subsistence”, writes Iryna Bianko from Pinsk.

“Free education is the future of the country. It provides a child from any family (in case one of the parents died or father has been discharged) with a chance to get mental, physical and musical background. The main thing for the child is to be under supervision and to feel care.

Dear Mr. Tozik, if you are running out of money to pay for your healthcare procedures in the private hospital so that is your problem. In order to save the budget you and people like you may give up your pensions and take healthcare procedures in the state hospital. Leave the children in peace. Unlike some people they will do good to society”, writes Elena Mazurava from Minsk.

“Let’s call things by their proper names. If it is a state institution so all expenses should be covered from the state budget. Every year parents have to pay for different stuff. Sometimes it means to make renovations at their own costs and expenses. So where is the budget money for it? Perhaps, dear Ministers and other people in power, you should take a look into gaping holes in your pockets. So, there, I guess, you can find the taxes of these parents as in the case with the taxes of all the citizens,” writes Aliaksandra Sidarava from Minsk.

“It’s really hard to find words to describe stupidity, impudence and unscrupulousness conscience of what is going on! I provide enough money to support the family and even have the opportunity to pay for the nursery school. But in case I do it my children get less money for other things. So what should be said about families with the average salary rate in the country? I’m not taking into account single mothers and low-income families, who have to work in order not to die of starvation and it’s in common sense! It seems like you have found people to make money on! What should this money go for? In order to pay for a piece of food in the morning and in the evening?! It is hard for me to continue writing. One thing I know for sure: even a worm will turn!”, writes Henadz Shkurko from Minsk.

“Before returning to work after maternity leave a mother should take an adaptation period that may last for a few month, especially when the child gets sick. First of all bringing the child to the nursery parents want their child to get used to the nursery step by step starting with 1-2 hours per day. So it is hard both for mother and the child to combine the adaptation period and job. Our Social Protection Fund seems to be bottomless as it has enough money to cover endless lists of disability-leave. You should pay for everything: nursery school, complementary food (rotten kiwi!), renovations, toys, soap and cleaning products. You also should pay for windows replacement as they turned to be rotten and may hurt children! So you should pay for everything and at the same time pay taxes! What should I live for?”, feels indignant Natallia Rutskaia from Zhodzina.
