Yury Belenki goes on trial for the march in Loshytsa

The process will take part on Friday, November 28.

The court in Lenin District in Minsk will conduct an administrative process with regard to case of Yury Belenki, the vice-chairman of Conservative Christian Party Belarus People’s Front (BPF). The protocol under the Article 23.34 of Administrative Offence Code (violation of organization order and mass event execution) has been drawn up against him. Belenki is accused of failing to honor police services on protection of public order during the march to Loshytski Iar in Minsk. This is the place of execution of Bolshevist terror victims. The march was held on Sunday, November 9, reports Viasna Human Rights Centre.

Under this Article the judge of Pyershamayski District Anastasia Papko gave a ticket to Yury Belenki at the rate of 20 basic amounts (3 million of Belarusian rubles) for the march organized at “Dziady”, an ancient Slavic feast to commemorate the dead. The BPF’s activists held the march on November 2 in Minsk.
