Ex-political prisoner Haidukou sentenced to 10-day arrest

Andrei Haidukou is sentenced to 10-day administrative arrest.

The court in Polatsk delivered the verdict on November 25, reports BelaPAN.

At the beginning of the law proceeding Andrei Haidukou stated his intention to involve the attorney from Minsk. However, the activist had only a half an hour to seek lawyer. The relatives and co-activists quickly found a local one. He was given an hour to receive materials.

Haidukou was arrested on November 21 in Navapolatsk for handing out fly-sheets for political prisoners. The protocol under the Article 23.34 para 1 of Administrative Offence Code (organization and unauthorized mass event execution) was drawn up against him.

In the morning, November 25, with the assistance of activist’s neighbor police officers were succeeded to enter Haidukou’s apartment who in result was summoned to court that day.

On November 24 Haidukou was repeatedly arrested for handing out fly-sheets for political prisoners. This time it happened in Polatsk. The protocol under the same Article was drawn up against him. Haidukou should appear in court at 4:30 p.m. on November 27.
