Was deputy prosecutor of Mozyr district sentenced to 9 years’ term in colony?

Alyaksandr Dolya was convicted in the case of attempted arrest of shares of Mozyr oil refinery.

A reader of charter97.org informed us about that. The editorial office tried to get the facts straight, and it turned out that Alyaksandr Dolya had not been working in the district prosecutor’s office for more than a year.

“He had been expelled somewhere… To another region probably. He had not been working here for more than a year. I do not know anything else about his fate,” the reception office of the prosecutor’s office answered.

Homel regional court does not have details about the case either, however, the spokesperson of the court does not exclude that it is true.

“This case had not been tried in the courts of Homel region, neither in regional, nor district ones. It is possible that it is true, but the case was forwarded to another region – this is the practice for high-profile cases. Such cases are usually sent to the regions where the person had not been working before. This case could have been sent to the court of Mahilyou region,” she said.
