Adoptive mother Iryna Motsnaia sentenced to four years in prison

Iryna Motsnaia from Klimovichy, who was taken the adopted children away from her in summer, has been sentenced to 4 years in prison on December 19.

Tatstsiana Seviarynets, the coordinator of the Organizing Committee on the creation of the BCD Party in Vitsebsk region, informed "Nasha Niva".

“I had a long conversation with her yesterday. Iryna told that the prosecutor had asked for her four years of imprisonment. Today the sentence has been pronounced. Iryna said that she had got four years in prison. I asked her to pray and I would do the same”, Tatstsiana Seviarynets said.

Unfortunately, other information about the trial is not reported.

On November press-briefing in Minsk Iryna Motsnaia said that the action under several articles for allegedly cruelty to children was brought against her.

Iryna Motsnaia with her husband opened the first family-type orphanage in Klimovichy district. However, in June her husband unexpectedly committed suicide, and the officials, referring to the allegedly "unhealthy atmosphere" in the family decided to close the family-type orphanage and took the children away. Iryna believes that this happened because of the requirement to put the building they got in order. Due to Irina's complaints many officials were punished then, and the Chairman of the Klimovichi District Executive Committee Vitali Gryshanou was removed from office.
