Canada to impose new sanctions against Russia including gas and oil industry technologies

Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird said Ottawa will introduce new sanctions against Moscow on Dec. 19 because of the situation in Ukraine.

It is reported by Censor.NET citing Gazeta.ru.

According to the minister, they will include additional restrictions on the export of technologies used in the oil and gas industry.

Also, sanctions will be imposed against a number of individuals in Russia and Ukraine, Baird said.

"Doing nothing is not an option," the head of the Canadian Foreign Ministry stated.
