MTS blocks access to charter97.org

MTS, a mobile network operator, has blocked access to our website.

Charter97.org has learnt it from a reader.

“When I try to open the page via my mobile phone, I see the message 'The website was blocked in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus',” he wrote.

MTS's senior public relations specialist, Yury Mironau, said to a charter97.org correspondent it wasn't the guilt of the company.

“MTS provides services in strict compliance with the current legislation. The mobile operator does not restrict access to Internet resources for individuals. The only exception is when a client makes a written application to MTS asking to restrict him access to one or more websites,” he said.
