Leanid Zaika: Kharkavets should be dismissed for tax on motor cars

The Finance Minister should be dismissed for the tax on participation in the traffic and other “stupid things”.

Such an opinion has been expressed by the leader of analytical center “Strategy” Leanid Zaika, commenting on the reasons for the finance minister’s dismissal.

“During perestroika, that is during the maximum of the reforms, Leszek Balcerowicz was a finance minister. It is an extremely important position, but only when reforms and an active economic policy are carried out. And we certainly do not have that,” he noted.

According to the analyst, Kharkavets deserves a dismissal just for the tax on autos taken alone.

“It was the Finance Ministry who had a hand in such stupid things like a tax for participation in the traffic. That is why Kharkavets can make it into history and appear in textbooks as a “tax minister”. But I do not think that he is like Kudrin, who is remembered by everyone. Kharkavets is to be forgotten by everyone in two days, even by those who know him today. But his fate is unlikely to be really hard,” Leanid Zaika concluded.

We remind that a source of charter97.org expressed an opinion that the present finance minister Andrei Kharkavets could be dismissed in the near future.
