Activist detained for white-red-white flag in Minsk centre

This is the second arrest of Aliaksandr Paliakou during the ice hockey world championship.

As charter97.org has learnt from eyewitnesses, riot policemen detained national bolshevik activist Alikasandr Paliakou for a white-red-white flag he was holding in his hands. The incident happened in Niamiha district on May 24.

“Two police officers came up to us and ordered to hide the flag. We obeyed. The same policemen came again later. They asked Aliaksandr to follow them and have a talk. We waited for him for about an hour. He called and said he was charged with violating article 17.1 of the Administrative Code. He allegedly behave in a rude way and swore in public. He will be tried tomorrow,” Paliakou's friends said.

Earlier, Aliaksandr Paliakou had been detained preventively and sentenced to 10 days in custody.
