Case for poster “No Putin's war with Ukraine” sent for review

A court of higher instance cancelled the decision of the court of the Niasvizh district in the case of Natallia Bordak.

On June 24, the Minsk city court cancelled the decision of the court of the Niasvizh district in the case of Natallia Bordak, an activist of the organising committee to create the Belarusian Christian Democracy party (BCD). On May 19, the court of the Niasvizh district fined Bordak 20 penalty units (3 million rubles). The activist was detained in Niasvizh on May 9 for a poster “No Putin's war with Ukraine”.

The case was sent for review, because the police presented wrong charges, charter97.org learnt from the BCD press service. Besides, some procedural violations were revealed. The activist will be informed about the date of a new hearing.

On May 19, Natallia Bordak was fined 20 penalty units (3 million rubles) for the poster “No Putin's war with Ukraine”. The activist was detained on May 9 and spent the weekend in custody.
