KGB does not oppose Belarusians’ participation in war against Ukraine?

Belarus KGB claims it has nothing to do with disseminating the information about the responsibility Belarusian citizens would face for joining separatist groups in Ukraine.

A BelTA reporter learnt that from the head of the KGB press-service Artur Strekh.

“This information is not true. KGB has nothing to do with its dissemination”, - Artur Strekh emphasized.

Earlier information came up on the internet that Belarus KGB was disseminating in media and social networks warnings against the danger of recruitment of citizens as participants of the illegal armed groups in Ukraine. Allegedly, KGB warned the potential volunteers against the responsibility under the article “Mercenary activities” of the Criminal Code of Belarus.
