Belarus holds exercises of Air Forces and Air Defence Troops

The military exercises began on August 19.

Charter97.org learnt it from the Ministry of Defence of Belarus.

“In accordance with the Training Plan of the Air Forces and the Air Defence Troops in 2013/2014 academic year, tactical training exercises involving military units started on August 19 under command of deputy commander of the Air Forces and the Air Defence Troops, head of aviation colonel Ihar Aliakseichyk,” the Ministry says.

The exercises will practice the redeployment of aviation subdivisions to operational aerodromes and actions of aviation far from main aerodromes.

“Besides issues of the combat use of aviation, a range of tasks for anti-aircraft missile troops on protecting important state and military facilities will be trained,” the Ministry of Defence says.
