Andriy Parubiy: Putin’s goal remains to seize eight regions of Ukraine

Russian authorities keep destabilizing the situation in Ukraine’s south-east.

Former secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Andriy Parubiy spoke of that on the air of the Inter TV channel, Ukrainian News reports.

“Putin’s plans will not stop there: it is to his advantage to freeze the conflict now, that is why he has relocated so many of his operatives from Transnistria to Donbas today… His goal is those same 8 regions in the south-east, his goal is destabilization. We keep finding facts of the same people, who gathered “titushki” to fight the Maidan, who raised Russian flags, already coming out with allegedly social slogans in order to unbalance [the situation] in the regions”, - Parubiy highlighted.

In his opinion, one of the main tasks of the Ukraine’s authorities is to mobilize the international community to apply economic pressure on Russia.
