“Azov’s” battalion commander: Great number of Russians and Belarusians fight for us

Azov battalion’s victories are taking place thanks in no small part to our fellow nationals.

Such a statement has been made to journalists by Azov battalion commander Andrei Biletski. His interview is posted at Facebook page of the battalion.

- Representatives of which countries are present in the battalion?

- Englishmen, Italians, Swedes, Russians, Belarusians. There are also Greeks, Croatians, Poles there. Foreigners are an elite unit.

- What is the motivation of their participation in the Anti-terrorist operation?

- They believe in European ideals, they believe that by the eastern border of Ukraine they are fighting for their European house.

- Do they have military experience?

- Most of them are former military professionals. In no small measure successes of the battalion are explained by participation of foreigners, including a great number of Russians and Belarusians.
