Production suspended at 3 “Zabudova” plants due to debts

The enterprise undergoes a crisis because of loans.

Workers of “Zabudova” voiced their displeasure over the developments back in November 2013. The most alarming thing for them was backdated wages and wages paid not in full, and that workers do not work full week, “Rehiyanalnaya gazeta” writes.

The administration company of “Zabudova” holding answered that wages had been paid, but in increments. They explained backdated payment by a seasonal drop in demand and by indebtedness.

Several months later “Zabudova” workers addressed journalists again, as they did not have another way to attract attention to their problems, as they believed:

“Employees run away from all enterprises of the holding like rats deserting a sinking ship. The reason is wages paid in installments, no advance payments. The management does not explain it to workers and does not answer when the full wages are to be paid. The last increase in payment took place more than a year ago. Only a few people have received wage increase this year. How can all others achieve wage raise?

There is work from time to time. When there is no work to do, qualified workers sweep a shop floor, paint fences. We ask to give us work, we ask wages to be increased and paid on time.”

The situation at “Zabudova” is explained by the deputy director general for ideology work, social development and agriculture issues Henrykh Kutas. He does not conceal that the business has financial problems, and evaluates the current situation as the most difficult one. According to the administration, the reason is that they had been taking out high-interest loans for a long time. Now a great part of the floating assets are spent to repay them. At the same time, there are customers who have indebtedness to “Zabudova” for shipped goods.

As for wages, Henrykh Kutas answered that the company is to pay them before the 25th for the accounting period. And now money is usually paid between the 25th and the end of the month completely.

The average payment at “Zabudova” is more than Br5 mln, the executive management informed.

If the enterprise could work at full capacity and without interruption, there would be profit after one month of such work. But this does not happen: the enterprise does not receive enough raw materials, and also because of the debts. First of all, it concerns cement plants, which do not give raw materials as a consequence of debts. One day idle period results in great losses.

Three plants of “Zabudova” – a building structures plant, construction materials and roofing tiles plants, are now idle. Out of 4 plants of the holding, only the wood-working plant is functioning. There are component parts for its work.

Many work two thirds of a day, their wages are decreased. The management’s position is to wait for a few days and receive raw materials, so that to complete work in one day.

The executive management sees turnover of the staff, but it is not the most acute problem: the building season is coming to an end.
