Russia allocated $1.55 bn in Russian rubles to Belarus

An agreement to give a state financial credit has been signed in Moscow today.

Charter97.org has been informed about that by the press-service of the Finance Ministry of Belarus.

“On September 24, 2014 in Moscow the Finance Ministry of Belarus and the Finance Ministry of Russia signed an agreement between the government of Belarus and Russia about allocation of a state financial credit to the government of Belarus,” the press-service informed.

Under the agreement, financial resources for a sum equivalent to $1,550 mln in Russian rubles are to be granted, for a term of 15 years, including a 5-year grace period.

The money of the credit is expected to be received by the budget of Belarus in the nearest days. Considering the state financial credit received from Russia on July 9, 2014 ($450 mln), the volume of the credit support of Belarus (on an untied basis and by the government of Russia) in this year will make $2,000 mln.
