Authorities denied registration to “Litvins” and changed Karl Marx’ family tree

Belarusian authorities have denied registration to the public association “The Regional Association of Litvins”.

“The list of the founders of the public association “The Regional Association of Litvins” has incomplete and inaccurate information about the founders of this public association, and thus this document is invalid,” the denial from the Justice Ministry reads.

What is called incomplete and misleading information is absence of home and mobile phones of two founders, inaccurate information about domicile of three founders. However, the example of inaccurate information is the following: one of the founders of the association gave his address as: “the town of Slavharad, Karl Marx Street,” though according to the Justice Ministry, it should look like “the town of Slavharad, Karl Marx, (son of Friedrich), Street”. However, the name of Karl Marx’s father was Heinrich.

“It would be considered a technical mistake in any European state, and time would be offered to correct it. But we are certainly in a Byzantine civilization, where everything unknown seems to be alien and dangerous,” krynitsa.info was told by the chairman of the Regional Association of Litvins” Alyaksandr Straltsou.

As said by him, a complaint to the Supreme Court is being prepared at the moment.

On August 4 the founding congress of the public association, “The Regional Association of Litvins” took place in Minsk. 50 persons were present there. Alyaksandr Straltsou was elected the chairman of the association, his assistants are Alyaksandr Kaputski and Andrei Alyakhnovich. The Council of the organisation also includes Zmitser Vajtsekhovich and Syarhei Brytsikau. On August 5 the registration documents were submitted to the Justice Ministry of Belarus.
